JOB DESCRIPTION

Minimum Qualification: B.Sc (or BE) in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Summary of Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience as safety /loss prevention engineer preferably with International Engineering Companies in onshore and offshore Oil & Gas facilities and/or oil refineries. Process design experience is an advantage.

Details of Experience: Engineering experience should cover most of the following areas/activities:

Fire detection & protection, hazardous materials, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety, knowledge of loss prevention engineering practices, fire & safety codes, standards and specifications such as NFPA, OSHA, EPA, API and COMAH. QA Procedures and ISO 9001, Environmental rules and regulations and ISO 14001 are essential.

Software: Knowledge and use of specific softwares such as PIPENET Sprinkler/Spray module, PHA-PRO-7, Shell FRED, PHAST for Gas Dispersion or similar. Knowledge in PHAST Risk (previously known as SAFETI) for QRA studies, RAMP for reliability studies, Fault Tree++ are desirable.

Professional Membership of Safety Engineers Association and Certification as CSP or CIH is an advantage.

Duty/Responsibiliti es : Candidate will be able to develop PHSE Plan, PHSER, SIMOP, Loss Prevention Philosophy, Firefighting system design (including firewater demand calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, layout drawings, equipment specifications and datasheets) escape route layout drawings and F&G detection system. Review HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, RAM, FTA/FMEA QRA study reports. Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Safety Review Study (What If Analysis). Conduct job safety audits and assist Project Engineering in development and execution of projects related to safety.

Pos Mechanical Maintennace Engineer

Dear All,

Our client in Doha Qatar is looking for Maintenance Engineer.

Candidate should have Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, with min. 8 yrs exp. in testing, maintenance and inspection of all types of valves in a reputed Valve service maintenance/ manufacturing companies with good knowledge in international standard codes and procedures of Valves.
The candidates shall be familiar with the machinery used for routine services and should be capable of setting up new valve maintenance shop.

Requirements
Testing and maintenance of all types of manual valves i.e. Gate/Ball/Check/ Globe/Plug/ Butterfly valves.
• Testing and maintenance of electrical/pneumati c operated control valves.
• Routine services such as packing replacement and seat lapping.
• Boring, refinishing, milling and other machine shop capabilities.
• Certified weld repair.
• Inspection of critical dimensions and surfaces.
• Troubleshooting and upgrade advice.

Job Description:
1) Works with other specialist discipline engineers and/or
sub-contractor in FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC)
Phase thru Installation – Commissioning Start Up (Include budgetary to
government)
2) Managing and updating Company’s (Client) “as built” engineering
drawings, standards, specifications, manuals, and data books at the
completion of projects
3) Take in hand proposal package inquiry of process, utilities,
storage and support systems which are part of onshore and/or offshore
production facilities

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge:
1) Sound engineering background with topside/process/ pipeline
knowledge an advantage
2) Mechanical or fabrication engineering qualification and/or very
strong practical background
3) Client liaison and financial awareness skills are essential as part
of project engineering
4) Will be advantage if have experience work in Condensate Treatment
Package, Nitrogen Generation Package, HVAC Package, Water Produce
Treatment Package, Diaphragm Closure Complete with Fender and Leg
Mating Unit - Deck Support Unit (Mechanical)
5) Good technical writing skills with attitude
